A day salmon fishing at Dalmarnock
“I’ve fished at Dalmarnock several times. This part of the Tay is easy to fish with no high banks so easier for older folks with numerous pools – ideal for both fly and spinning. The ghillie is both helpful and entertaining with many tales at lunchtime in the well-appointed hut.”
You’ll start the morning off with tea, coffee and hot filled rolls – while you get to know your ghillie. This gives everyone a chance to chat with Colin, ask questions, and (most importantly) get set up for a day on the river. Once everyone’s sufficiently fed, watered and prepped, it’s out on the river for your morning’s fishing.
We welcome everyone from complete novices to expert anglers here at Dalmarnock, so fishing tackle hire and expert tuition are available on site. Making a day on the river the perfect way for your team to let their hair down and learn a new skill together – whatever their experience level.
Prefer to stay on dry land?
We’re surrounded by beautiful hiking trails and our slice of Highland Perthshire is renowned for its magnificent scenery. Find out more about our range of activities for non-fishing guests.
At 1 pm, it’s back to the hut to have a hot buffet lunch (and exchange tales of woe). And for Colin to share a few ghillie’s tales. We’re especially proud of our fishing lodge, we built it ourselves and it’s a lovely place to be. Complete with wood burning stove, the cosy hut overhangs the hill overlooking the river, with fishing prints that line the walls. On a cold day, a bite to eat and a seat by the fire is just what you need! In the summer, we get the barbeque going out on the deck. After lunch, we’ll head out on the river again for an afternoon’s fishing and hopefully some tight lines.
There’s something about the river that makes everyone feel relaxed. Ready to return to the office refreshed and revitalised.
