Visitors come from all over the world to fish the Tay at Dalmarnock.

Our guests travel from Norway and Sweden, Russia and Cuba, Canada and the USA, to stay with us in the heart of Highland Perthshire.

Some guests come to catch their first Scottish salmon. Others, to perfect their fly fishing technique or to unwind in our hilltop cottage.

“Fishing Friends”

“A fantastic middle Tay beat, excellent location, easy access and some brilliant pools. Highly recommended and Colin the Ghillie is a great character, always a fun visit and fond memories.”

Prime River Tay Salmon Fishing

We run the largest beat on the mighty River Tay.

Covering nearly three miles of prime, middle Tay salmon fishing, our beat has some 15 pools for spinning and fly fishing.

But that’s just for starters.

The Full Scottish Experience

Sausage. Bacon. Eggs. Beans. Toast. Hash browns. Black pudding. Mushrooms. Oh, and don’t forget the haggis. That’s a Full Scottish Breakfast. If we had to describe it, we’d say there’s nothing else quite like it. And you won’t find it anywhere else.

We might not do the full breakfast. But we will treat you to the full Scottish salmon fishing experience.

Yes, you can take a fishing trip almost anywhere in the world. But when it comes to salmon fishing, there’s nowhere else quite like Scotland. When you’re a guest at Dalmarnock you’ll enjoy the full Scottish salmon fishing experience. Starting with hot morning rolls to warm you up by the riverside and a real Scottish ghillie to guide you out on the water*.

*Both work best with a few cups of tea. So best allow time for that, too.
